The Republicans and the Rich

No, no, the Republicans aren't destroying this country for the sake of the rich, oh no. Just look at this tidbit from today's budget approval, a budget, which, despite record deficits, includes a huge tax reduction:

Sen. Jim Bunning, R-Ky., who sponsored the deeper tax reduction, suggested it be used to roll back Social Security tax increases imposed on some higher-income recipients in 1993. That decision will be made in later legislation.

Yes, Jim Bunning (this is the guy who used a teleprompter during a live debate) is advocating we tax the rich people less. Not only that, but tax them less for social security, at a time when "social security is in crisis."

What a deliciously insane idea.
