Well, no matter why he did it, in Columbia County, New York, it'll earn his owner a hefty $500 dollar fine and up to 15 days in jail. Farmers are outraged.

I actually stumbled on to the issue while looking up "Stuyvesant Town," the East Village, NYC community in which I live. The big story there is that rents are skyrocketing. I learned yesterday that my rent is going up 10%. Others have it far worse: some rents will rise 25%! Those greedy bastards! This sucks sooo much.

But, on the bright side, at least we can let our chickens run free.
